Tena Meinders – Director of Community Homes & Admissions

Tena Meinders, Director of Community Living and Admissions, started working as a direct care staff at Salem while she was in college studying Special Education. She received her bachelors degree at Dordt Christian College. While a supervisor she completed a master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of La Verne.

After 25 years at Salem, Tena considers the residents to be as close as family. Her current job responsibilities include the supervision of the level 2 and 3 homes and coordination of admissions.

In her free time, Tena does the daily puzzles in the newspaper, reads avidly and helps care for her sweet nieces.
