  • Empowering people with disabilities

At Salem we want to empower our residents to reach their full potential. We want to see them grow. We know that our friends who have disabilities are capable of so much more than they are given credit for.

We work towards advocacy and awareness on behalf of our residents. We aim for integration in the community and invite community leaders out to our events so they can see first hand that our residents are strong, independent and capable individuals, ready to take on any challenge the world has to offer.

  • Empowerment

Here at Salem we do far more than just residential care. We strive to make sure that every single member of our community is able to reach their potential.

We still have a huge job of shining a light and showing the world that people with disabilities are just like you & me.

  • Potential

Our residents are regular people. They choose their own clothing. They get dressed up for big events.

We show the world that people with disabilities can function and have a role in their home through chores, independence and making their own decisions whenever possible.

  • Growth

Our residents have a role in the community. There are some in society and even in their own families who misunderstand this before coming to Salem.

We pride ourselves in how we teach people to treat those with disabilities as equals, and as brothers and sisters in Christ.
